Bonjour
C'est Bon French Restaurant in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, proudly opened its doors to the public on Friday, July 25th, 2008. Ten days earlier on Bastille Day, July 14th, Anna Bligh, The Hon. Premier of Queensland, officially opened the restaurant.
Situated on Stanley Street, C'est Bon is easily accessible from both the CBD and the M1 Freeway, making it an ideal spot for 'Brisbanites' to visit and celebrate French fare and culture.
Michel Bonnet needs no introduction. As you can see from his picture (far left: click on image to zoom in), he's been around a long time… and has certainly had many good times along the way.
Michel has opened and operated many successful restaurants. For the last five years, he and his daughter Amélie have been creating a brand for the C'est Bon Restaurants . The first opened in Cairns in 2003 , followed by C'est Bon Melbourne in 2006 . The newest restaurant sees Michel return to where he calls home - Brisbane.
In his first year C'est Bon Brisbane become the best European restaurant in Queensland and now we are striving to become the best European restaurant in Australia.
On a trip to France, Michel was very pleased to have met Celine Damour. Celine come from l’ecole Hoteliere du Castel in Dijon and is a real professional, with an intense passion for the restaurant industry.
Ryan McBurney is born in Brisbane and spent over a year travelling and working in western Europe. Since returning he has worked in many restaurants in Brisbane – Restaurant Two, Champagne Brasserie, Versace Hotel, Iceworks and most recently Seasalt at Armstrongs.
C'est Bon is delighted to bring you the incredible experience and style of Head Chef, Ryan, and Dining Room Manager, Celine, at Brisbane. How can you go wrong with a team like this?
The food remains true to Classic French-Style Cuisine, yet with modern presentation and use of local Australian produce.
Michel and the team wish you a wonderful experience.
Bon Appétit!
